Just had the most mouthwatering selection of salads in Dublin topped with seeds & fresh sprouts! I will be buzzing all day. Thank you guys for a delicious lunch..

I have been a vegi for 25 years and have eaten at blazing salads deli and their restaurant and their parents restaurants. Its the only genuinely decent food in dublin. Your critics are obviously competitors. Keep up the good work Blazing Salads. And people just because you are on the internet and able to hide is no excuse for nastiness.

I think the food is second to none. But the staff are amongst the rudest I have EVER come across. they would rather talk about their weekend then actually serve you at the tills and when they do they appear half asleep!!!!

Glad to see this place still churning out healthy food in this recession.Everyone is going through tough times and the staff are always friendly and the food consistently delicious. They have not dropped their standards as some places have.Their loyalty cards are a great idea I was able to get a tub packed with salad for my full card. Happy days. Good luck to them

Its good... try it. good vegan options!

Went into their shop and found it fantastic. They have introduced a loyality card for their salads & savouries. The food is so fresh and they redeem their salads so much over the day they are always fresh. I have found the staff to be helpful and they get very busy over the lunch time but still take care. Their organic bread is lovely and they are giving out bread with their delicious soup. Good to see their still going strong

I think this place needs an upgrade in service. I was there after the lunch rush and ordered a slice of pizza and a date cookie. I asked for the pizza hot and was told that it would take about 10 minutes (signs posted said that they didn't have a microwave). It seems their oven isn't hot at all either. I waited but yet biting into the pizza slice it was cold on the inside and only luke warm on the surface. Also, I had a 10% discount card but the woman miscalculated the discount and overcharged me.

Claire said on 2008/12/04:
Food is pricey but good quality ingredients used.Staff very rude though,I went in the other day and thought the service was atrocious.

Lara said on 2008/09/12:
Dee,can people not give an honest opinion on here without having an agenda? That's what a forum is all about surely?Their bread is ok,I wouldn't say it was bad or excellent but people are allowed their own views and you need to respect that

Dee said on 2008/08/13:
JanJan How can you say their breads are horrible. They are probably some of the best breads in the country and have been just awarded 2 gold medals for them in the Great Taste Awards 2008. What is your agenda?

jess said on 2008/06/27:
I totally agree with you JanJan.I have found this exactly as you have described.Staff rude and stand-offish,owners just the same. For the cost of the food you'd expect a first class service with extra food thrown in!!It's about time they woke up to themselves and treated their customers with some respect and manners. Not that I will know as I just won't go back.

John said on 2008/06/27:
There's definately some kind of agenda behind all the negative reviews. The prices are very fair compared to other places in dublin. the tofu slices are the only things that aren't consistently excellent, the rest of the food is delicious, especially the pizzas! staff are also very friendly.

JanJan said on 2008/06/24:
Food not bad. breads horrible tho :-( had been going there to get lunch every day but staff finally cracked me up and i wont set foot in the place. they are so rude. even the owners who are around a fair bit are v snotty indeed. would starve before giving them another penny. A bit of common courtesy wouldnt go astray especially when its as expensive as it is. v disappointing indeed

Abigail said on 2008/04/24:
I find this place either a hit or a miss sort of deli. One day the food is really fresh, the next day it tastes as if it's been sitting out for days. Not very consistent and quite expensive.

lucy said on 2008/02/14:
Just has a tub of the best salad, never want it to come to an end. I could lick out the tub. I love the food. I find the staff very quick when I am in a hurry at lunchtime. They take laser for any amount no matter how small if I have no cash. I think it is an excellent place to get a salad lunch. I sometimes go other places for a change but never because I think it is better.

olivia said on 2008/01/24:
I agree with Sharon when she says the prices have gone up and the staff are not so friendly but I wouldn't go as far to saying it's gone completely down hill! The food was refreshingly tasty last time I was in there but they maybe do need to look at their prices.

olive said on 2008/01/14:
Thankfully after been closed over the Christmas it is now reopen and thronged by us hungry followers.........They always close for the Christmas break I do miss it soooo much and always eat there it is great.

mary said on 2008/01/14:
Hi Sharon, Your email was written on the 2nd January and you said you went in there the other day???? How could you if the place was closed from the 24th Dec. Also there is no new person working there I have been going into Blazing Salads for the past 4 years and have always found the staff really helpful and friendly and the food delicious. I have been looking at this site and personally think there is an vandeta against this establishment by someone beacause I find alot of the writings totally false. Someone is just writing whatever they want!!!!!!! It certainly is not affecting their business as the place is packed everyday so the majority of people think its fantastic.

Ciaran said on 2008/01/03:
Went in yesterday to buy a few things....prices have gone up by about 20%,absoloute rip off.Even the girl behind the counter yesterday said to me that she didn't think the prices should have gone up.Was talking to a guy outside who had bought 8 things and had paid AN EXTRA 2.40.

sharon said on 2008/01/02:
Staff in there are so rude.Went in the other day and their was a new girl on, she threw the change on the counter. For the huge expense of the place it's such a rip off when you can't even get good service.I ordered the tofu pizza too and it was not edible, dry stale and not tasty at all. This place has got so much worse over the past year

martina said on 2007/12/19:
i have to agree with you annemarie, their bread used to be so nice- i used to buy the ciabatta every day. Something strange's going on there cos it's gone soooo chewy, old and stale! Not half as good as it used to be! And who's talking about their pizzas being nice? Have you got any clue about what pizzas are supposed to taste like???

annemarie said on 2007/12/09:
Food is tasteless, bread got worse

erica said on 2007/11/06:
A always went online to see if there were any good places for veggies to eat in dublin.Saw the very mixed reviews on here for Blazing salads but thought I'd give them a go.Wow was it pricey! Felt a bit too unhealthy for me too, I know we need some sugars and fats in out diet but blazing salads go overboard and add way too much to try and mask tastes. Healthy food can be tasty without adding so much crap guys! Anyway, I'm from over the other side of the atlantic where we're used to bad food so felt quite at home!disappointed to say the least.

drummer said on 2007/09/27:
don't know what the complaints are all about. Just tucking into epic tomato and Fennel soup from BS

Emer said on 2007/09/19:
I find blazing salads very good, anything I've tried tasted fresh and healthy. For those above who are complaining about oil and maple syrup your body does need a certain amount of unsaturated oil and can you not avoid the products with maple syrup? Not everything has maple syrup!

Loretta said on 2007/09/06:
Portions have decreased in size! No wonder they call it 'healthy' as the portions are so small the calories are less!Bit freaked out about some of the ingredients. Why add maple syrup?Recipe for disaster in terms of health.Used to be a huge fan and pop in for lunch everyday, have discovered take-away salads from cafe fresh-way better, healthier, tastier and cheaper.

Wendy said on 2007/07/17:
Saw mixed reviews on site so thought I'd try for myself. To be honest I agree with the majority, the place is highly over-priced,food tasted below average and left very disappointed.

Mick said on 2007/07/14:
Had lunch with the mates on sat in deli only day it hasnt rained in ages. went to park and had an amazing lunch of salads , yummy samosas and goats cheese pizza. roll on blazing salads cheers.

DONT KNOW WHAT ALL THE GRIPE IS ABOUT. I EAT REGULARLY IN BLAZING SALADS AND HAVE ALWAYS FOUND IT TO BE FAB... EVERYWHERE IN DUBLIN ALL YOU FIND ARE PANNINI WITH NOTHING IN THEM AND RIP OFF. THEY OFFER AMAZING FOOD WORTH PAYING FOR.THE STAFF ALWAYS GIVE THEIR TIME EVEN THOUGH THE PLACE IS HEAVING AT LUNCH TIME

rebecca lenihan said on 2007/07/04:
poor poor poor.way over priced and portions have decreased.

Kev said on 2007/06/22:
V DISAPPOINTING,TOFU PIZZA STALE AND TASTED DAYS OLD.WHAT HAS HAPPENENED TO THIS PLACE USED TO BE BRILLIANT?

roisin said on 2007/06/04:
Is it just me or have blazing salads put their prices up and now it is even more of a rip off?I couldn't believe it the other day when I went in for my lunch, think they've priced themselves out of the market, the food has dipped in quality too,not so good.

Kevin said on 2007/04/10:
I agree with Lori, the prices are over-the-top but I guess anything that's considered a health food is that bit more expensive.Cornucopia is cheaper and feels healthier and cosier.

Lori said on 2007/03/01:
Really enjoy it, salads are wonderful and thier other lunch options look really scrumptious too (haven't tried them yet!). My only gripe is that the sundries they sell are very overpriced, spelt crackers, oatcakes etc.

“We sweeten with organic mapel syrup, apple concentrate and brown rice syrup,†explains Pamela. “Our soy sauce does not contain sugar, caramel or m.s.g. and our oils are not bleached.†from an article on Blazing salads on dceb

Jill said on 2007/02/24:
I can't believe that this place has got bad reviews in your website - it's so consistently good. Their basil, roast veg and tofu pizza is heaven, as is thier glass noodle salad and many others. Service is good and very friendly, I go there regularly. Cook book is great also.

john said on 2007/02/24:
Blazing Salads is fantastic. I eat their everyday unlike other vegetarian food outlets they dont laden their foods with loads of dairy!! Also they dont use any commercial sugars to their cakes (white or brown) so they sweeten with organic maple syrup, apple concentrates and honey. Their oils are cold pressed and they take great care in supplying their loyal customer base with delicious foods.I hope it continues with the success it deserves. Thanks Blazing Salads.

Anne said on 2007/02/13:
Warning! This place claims to be healthy, it so isn't! I nearly had a fit reading their cook book, they add oil and maple syrup to everything! I'd nearly be healthier at mcdonalds! It's so over-priced and the food is as nutritous as a mars bar!Would not recommend to anyone who is health concious.

Nicky said on 2007/02/09:
I agree with Johno, crap crap crap.

Sara said on 2007/02/09:
I am so disappointed with Blazing Salads and will never step foot in that deli again. Firstly, the staff barely grunt at you as you ask for your order. Then, when reading the ingredients, it turns out that what they 'market' to be healthy is actually crammed full of maple syrup, oil and maragrine! Now as healthy as you think so be warned. The salads are full of oil and taste disgusting and do not even start me on the rip-off prices! Cornucopia and cafe fresh make blazing salads look as healthy as mcdonalds! Cornucopia is much fresher and healthy as is cafe fresh and they are not nearly as bad on the wallet. I've spoken to loads of people who agree with me so be warned!

I stumbled upon this place two days into moving to Dublin and luckily have been able to find again because it's my new home along with Cornucopia. I haven't found natural pb anywhere else. Good lunch foods, miso soup, and vegan baked goods. Wish it was full service

ger said on 2006/10/16:
Excellent food.Strongly recommended. As a vegan I love their choices, my facourite lunch spot.So tasty. And unlike Cornucopia, there are no kids at the counter who roll their eyes to heaven if you have a question.Check it out!

Obsidian said on 2006/07/07:
I think Blazing Salads is excellent. The food is so damn tasty and filling and I trust them, which is not easy to do if you have special dietary needs. The prices aren't extortionate, you pay for proper food, you get proper food. This is certainly unique in Dublin city!

I live in the southeast but when I travel to Dublin I buy their take aways for freezer.Love their bread salads etc really tasty wholesome food.Bought the cookbook, its brillant but I am hoping to take part in lorraines next cookery class,so I am checking the web regularly for her new venue!.

When I lived in Dublin I visited Blazing Salads a few times and bought the cookbook. I am trying to get all healthy over here in America (God knows it's hard)and I just made the 'Winter Crumble' and it was AMAZING!!!! I can't believe all those vegetables can taste so good---thanks Blazing Salads~!

Gorgeous salad bar, really nice pizza, bread and desserts, just wish they had a full service restaurant!

Niall said on 2005/01/16:
Veggie Take-away nestled in a corner of Drury Street. Also does a roaring lunch trade. Mainly organic, wholefood with a freezer so you can take home some of their ready made delights. Soup is always vegan and the only hot food on the menu. They sell many salads and provide pizza, samosas, veg burgers and spring rolls for both veggies and vegans alike. Also these have a stall at the Dublin Food Co-op every week and have their own cook book published by Gill and McMillan.

Excellent salad bar including vegan cakes, felafel sandwiches, vegan pizza (tofu topped!), rice balls, samosas. Everything has the full ingredient list displayed along with suitability for vegans/vegetarians/coeliacs. Mainly for take-away, although there are a couple of stools for quick lunch. Also runs a stall with a reasonable selection at the Dublin Food Co-op every Saturday. Long running and recommended. Almost all food is organic.
