I had high hopes for a meal at Little India after reading all the great reviews but I was very disappointed. For a start, after discussing why we had chosen that restaurant I was then served a chicken starter. I could understand a mix up in the kitchen but for the waiter to bring chicken after a full conversation about being vegan put a massive downer on the night.
When my vegan meal was actually served, I found it too salty and very oily with no taste whatsoever. This is what I'd expect from a restaurant where they look quizzically at you when you mention you're a vegan, not somewhere that advertises itself as catering for vegans.
Poor food, served a meat starter instead of the requested vegan starter and over priced. Don't bother.

Brilliant place, with truly amazing food. My boyfriend is Californian and really into his food, and it even satisfied him. My favourite place to eat out in Belfast for vegans with food-snob tendencies!

Informal, ex-vegetarian Indian restaurant in the city centre (opposite the Warner Bros cinema). 80% of dishes are suitable for vegans and clearly marked. Even most of the naan bread is vegan. Beautiful food, very reasonable prices, great for a night out. It was entirly vegetarian until business wasn't enough to keep it going. Now it serves meat as well, but as far as I know downstairs remains vegetarian, whilst upstairs serves meat as well. Small and cosy, very friendly, highly recommended!
